The boy was found safe about 9:30 p.m. at his father’s home in St. Johns County, a communication officer for the Suwannee County Sheriff’s office said. In the alert issued about an hour earlier, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement the boy was observed being put in the trunk of a car by a white woman at the rest stop near the the Suwannee and Columbia county line. The boy told authorities he was playing a trick on his mother. No other details of the incident were immediately available.
